Actuarial Journey Update #7
Over the last one and a half months, I managed to receive one VEE credit and planned my learning journey for the rest of this year. Also, I decided to change my job and the city where I live.
Here are my status, thoughts, and next goals:
Status
Polish exams passed: 1 of 9
SOA/CAS exams passed: 2 of 9
CAS Online Courses: 2 of 3
CAS Course on Professionalism: 0 of 1
VEEs: 1 of 2
Passion: present, but due to a lot of obligations related to the job change, I was a little bit tired, and did not learn too much in June.
Exam-Life Balance: Since there was not much learning, exam-life balance was more about life and a little bit of exams, but I’ll get back on track during the next months.
Thoughts
The good news is, SOA approved subjects from my university to apply for VEE credits. I applied and successfully got the credit for VEE Finance and Accounting (VEE Corporate Finance in CAS nomenclature).
I studied intensively for the CAS DISC IA exam, but in the end, I decided to transfer it to the next exam window.
The main reason for that was my decision to change jobs and city of living, which I’m excited about!
I also planned the learning journey for the October Polish exams, and will start the study session in July.
Next Goals
Complete CAS DISC IA online course in the testing window between July and September.
Pass at least two Polish actuarial exams in October.
Pass the MAS-I exam in October
